Settlement Paperwork
We will send you the following paperwork for each account we settle for you as soon as the settlement is completed: (a) a copy of the letter we received from the creditor confirming the amount and terms of the settlement and (b) a copy of the settlement statement you approved authorizing the settlement and the payment of our fees. These copies are for your records and it is absolutely vital that you keep them in a safe place where you can find them later. You may need them a few times after your settlements are done.
Sometimes creditors do not keep adequate records of settlements. They may call you demanding payments even after you have settled. When this happens you need to send copies of the creditor letter to the person who is contacting you. Do not send the TDS settlement statement to creditors.
After you complete the program and begin re-establishing a good credit history for yourself you may need evidence of your settlements to clear up items that may appear on your credit report.
